Having to manage the largest real estate brokerage in New York City’s northern suburbs requires a bit of energy, but luckily for Joseph Rand, he’s in no short supply. The general counsel and managing partner for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate – Rand Realty, Rand oversaw 30 offices, 800 agents and over $1.5 billion in closed real estate transactions in 2013. Part of Rand’s success is due to his employee training tactics, which rely on a technique he calls “client-oriented real estate,” or CORE. If you stop thinking like a salesperson and start thinking about client service, he says, the results will be both positive and authentic – something all clients look for.
